Looking down, you can see up. In this painting a feather floats in a puddle on a cobbled street, reflecting what at first appears to be a flock of birds in the sky. With closer examination you will notice that the larger bird in the reflection has human legs. As the saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together.” This person has disguised himself as a bird in an attempt to fit into the flock.
