One evening in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as I was working on a triptych of masked figures I noticed an orange glow coming through the curtained window of the front door. Opening the door, I saw the sky was ablaze with intense orange. I had to put that orange in The Triptych. Moreover, I learned that I should not spend all of my time indoors as I had been doing. The air, light, and skies of New Mexico were not to be missed.
