I stood on the bank of the Potomac River watching as a performer from Cirque du Soleil practiced rolling a kayak in Alexandria, Virginia. In my mind I saw a Merman with an iridescent tail frolicking in a magical ocean.
The tail is silver metallic leaf and transparent oils.
